I think that half the fun of going on holiday is in the anticipation. Imagining all the places you’ll see and the things you’ll do when you eventually get away from it all. This is where Pinterest comes in. For anyone who hasn’t seen it before, then I should just explain that Pinterest is a web site where you can keep a sort of on-line scrapbook. For instance, if you’re thinking about a holiday in Devon, you can use Pinterest to gather together pictures of local beauty spots, ideas for day trips, walks and places to eat.
It’s free of charge and if you start a Pinterest board then any time that you’re browsing the web and spot something interesting you can pin it to your board to come back to later. Boards can be private or public and you can share them with your family, so you can all add your own holiday ideas to them. Every pin keeps the link to the web page it came from so you can use them like photographic bookmarks.
We’ve set up several Pinterest boards where we keep photos and links about our corner of the West Country – maybe they’ll help you to get a feel for this part of Devon and give you some inspiration for things to do on holiday here.
Feel free to re-pin any of our pins onto your own holiday boards!
